About me: Melyssa Moniz, dancer, choreographer, entrepreneur! She aims to please as she sets out to teach what she loves the most - dance! Since 2003, Melyssa’s creative energies have been focused on dance entertainment. Dance has touched her life like no other art form. Learning different styles of dance was easy since love and self expression fueled the progression. As an efficient and eager learner, she has dedicated countless hours on training, in styles such as salsa, merengue, bachata, cha cha, reggaeton, jazz, hip hop and samba. In August of 2008, Melyssa co-founded the salsa-fusion dance troupe, P.O.S.E., which signifies Passion Obsession Salsa Expression. While offering workshops and performances, P.O.S.E. has grown significantly in a short period of time. Hard work and dedication is the back bone to this group. Melyssa’s Ryerson Business Management degree has served her well in developing the dance troupe and her entrepreneurial ventures. Her fan base is steadily growing, both with her dance troupe, and individually. By coupling her artistic and business mindsets, Melyssa is working towards a successful future, for many years to come.
